First Sunday in September

Happy first Sunday in September
Today, I'm thinking in terms of : seeing the world through a child's eye.

Remember when we all were young and the world was full of marvelous things. Each day we awoke excited to see knew things, to learn about different ideas, and to experience the world around us. Life, strife, hard work of just living has worn the crisp edges off of the new days.

The idea that we must all be like our next door neighbor. We must envy what they have seems ingrained in our persona. However, it is not what we should be doing. Each day begins new. Yes, the same old hours, but why not look at them differently.

Why not ask of yourself, what can I do that helps my neighbor? What can I do that helps my community? It doesn't have to be a long list. Think of one thing for each that you feel will help. Then do it today, tomorrow, and the next day. Do it until it becomes a habit. It might not seem like much, but even just a smile lights the whole face, it eases tension where their is worry, and it brings joy to those who can not speak.

Happy First Sunday in September....
